GOS4M will provide mercury speciation measurements (Gaseous Elemental Mercury, Gaseous Oxidized Mercury and Particle-bound mercury) along with a set of ancillary data through advanced web services. All data will be processed by QA/QC systems.

Within GOS4M an advanced QA/QC web-based applications will be agreed and established among participating networks (see the following map) in order to assure data comparability. The integration of all existing monitoring networks will provide a complete and unique set of monitoring data in both hemispheres in support of Minamata Convention implementation and evaluation of effectiveness of measures that Nations will undertake on the basis of forthcoming Conference of Parties n. 1 (COP1) of the Minamata Convention.
