Paco Bustamante, LINKS, France
Paco Bustamante is Professor at La Rochelle University, France. He is currently a senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF, 2017-2022). He is an expert for various national and international organizations in the field of marine ecotoxicology and environmental research. He participates in the work of UNEP as part of the evaluation of the effectiveness of the Minamata convention under the Global Mercury Partnership. He has published more than 260 articles in the peer-reviewed literature and coordinated several projects aimed at improving our understanding of the bioaccumulation of pollutants by marine organisms, their circulation in food webs and their effects on living organisms. In this context, a large part of his work focusses on mercury in marine top predators.
